In Akbar Allahabadi, Urdu language found a humorist, a satirist, a commentator, and a reformer. Unlike many, his satire is not corrosive, or black in nature. He lived during the British Raj and his poetry provides glimpses into the socio-political conditions of that age.
लुग़ात-ए-फ़िक्री, यानी फ़िक्र तोनस्वी का लिखा गया चंद पन्नों का ‘शब्दकोश’ अपने तौर की बहुत दिलचस्प और मज़ेदार तहरीर है। इसमें फ़िक्र ने हमारे दैनिक जीवन में प्रयोग किए जाने वाले शब्दों के अर्थ समाज की कड़वी हक़ीक़तों से बहुत क़रीब जा कर लिखे हैं। यहाँ लीडर का मतलब सिर्फ़ लीडर या राजनेता नहीं बल्कि वह है जो उसके व्यक्तित्व और उसके कारनामों से तय पाता है।
