Different poets might use slightly different distribution of words and word clouds are typically used to convey information about the distribution of words in some specific context. The more a word is used, the bigger it is on the cloud. So, let us make these word clouds for some prominent poets and see if they convey some insight into their commonalities and distinctiveness.
ख़ूबसूरत मुकालिमों से आरास्ता 1960 में मंज़र-ए-आम पर आयी फ़िल्म “लाल क़िला” सिर्फ़ लाल क़िले और हिन्दोस्तान के आख़िरी ताजदार बहादुर शाह ज़फ़र की कहानी नहीं है, बल्कि उस शरारे की कहानी है जो ज़ुल्म और इस्तेहसाल की हवा पा कर 1857 में एक शोले की शक्ल इख़्तियार कर गया।
उर्दू की तारीफ़ बयान करने के लिए मेरे पास सिर्फ़ एहसासात ही हैं क्यों कि ये काम लफ़्ज़ों को नहीं दिया जा सकता। मैं यक़ीन से कह सकता हूँ कि अगर उर्दू बॉलीवुड का हिस्सा न होती तो ऐसी फ़िल्में, ग़ज़लें, नग़्में, डायलॉग्स का हमारी ज़िंदगी पर कोई ख़ास असर न होता।
ग़ज़ल हिन्दोस्तान की दीगर ज़बानों में कही जा रही है, लेकिन पंजाबी ग़ज़ल उर्दू ग़ज़ल के क़रीब-तरीन है। ये क़ुरबत इस दर्जा है कि पंजाबी के मुमताज़ शायरों के फ़ेहरिस्त में जो लोग हैं, उन नामों से उर्दू के क़ारी भी ना-शनास नहीं। हबीब जालिब, ज़फ़र इक़बाल, मुनीर नियाज़ी जैसे मोतबर शायर इसकी चंद मिसालें हैं।
The term ‘Marsiya’ (elegy) is derived from Arabic word ‘risa’ which means lamentation of the dead person, weeping and wailing over the deceased. It existed in Iran as a well defined literary form, in pre-Islamic days. ‘Sog-e-Siyahwashan’ (mourning of Siyahwash, father of Kai Cyrus), ‘Marg-i-Zarir’ (the death of Zarir, brother of Gushtasp) and some others are still considered as legacy of ancient Persian literature.
मंटो की ज़िंदगी उनके अफ़सानों की तरह न सिर्फ़ ये कि दिलचस्प बल्कि संक्षिप्त भी थी। मात्र 42 साल 8 माह और चार दिन की छोटी सी ज़िंदगी का बड़ा हिस्सा मंटो ने अपनी शर्तों पर, निहायत लापरवाई और लाउबालीपन से गुज़ारा। उन्होंने ज़िंदगी को एक बाज़ी की तरह खेला और हार कर भी जीत गए।
